How this CV pipeline works
This CV is written in LaTeX and managed in a private GitHub repository. A GitHub Actions pipeline automatically builds, variants, and deploys it to cv.benjamin.ie on every push — no manual PDF exports needed.
Step 1
Edit content
Update
cv.tex (and coverletter.tex for a cover letter) in VS Code devcontainer or any editor.Step 2
Create a branch
Branch name encodes the target:
Company/Role e.g. xAI/Staff-Infra.Step 3
Push → CI builds
Docker + LaTeX pipeline builds PDF variants (standard, print, archival, accessible, dyslexic-friendly) plus Markdown, JSON and HTML for software and AI tools.
Step 4
Deploy to Pages
Each branch gets its own dated URL at
cv.benjamin.ie/Company/Role/YYYY-MM-DD/.Main branch
Public CV
Only the
main branch builds and publishes the public version (contact info redacted).Always
GitHub Release
A tagged release is created for every build with all PDF variants attached.
This CV's own repository is private, but there's a public copy of the pipeline with a made-up CV, cv-pipeline, that you can fork for your own. I wrote up why and how in My CV is a CI pipeline.
